These days, many of us have seen or heard Christian protesters proclaiming their abhorrence for homosexuality. If you are like me, I’m sure you have puzzled over why homosexuality is so offensive to Christians, especially since there is little to nothing written in the Bible against being gay. There is seemingly nothing logical or rational driving the fierce hatred that many Christians seem to feel towards homosexuals and yet their hatred is palpable, as if homosexuals were to blame for killing Jesus himself. However, if we look the whole situation from an Astrological perspective, it makes perfect sense.
As I explained in my previous post, our planet is currently in a cusp age, moving from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. The crossover lasts a long time and during this time the energies of the two ages fight and clash against each other. This is especially true for the people who resonate most strongly with the energies of each age. In the Piscean Age, Christianity and other prophet-based religions reigned supreme, as they vibrate most strongly with the energy of Pisces and its companion, Virgo. Now, as we move into the new Age, the energies of Aquarius and its partner Leo grow ever more powerful, threatening everything for which Pisces has stood.
To get a more complete picture of the struggle which is currently happening between the Age of Pisces and that of Aquarius, we really need to look back a couple thousand years to the last age of transition, when the Age of Aries was shifting into the Age of Pisces. Most of us already know the story of this time, as it is currently touted as “the greatest story ever told”. Of course I am speaking of the time of Jesus Christ, his life and death and all of the drama surrounding it. This time in history happened exactly when the balance of power switched over from Aries to Pisces. Unfortunately for those of us who live during a transitional age, newly ousted energies never leave quietly and tend to cause quite a fuss when they are displaced from their accustomed position of power.
The Age of Aries was dominated by Judaism and the Roman Empire, two social groups who resonated most strongly with the energies of Aries and its counterpart, Libra. When the new energies of Pisces came into the picture, Aries reacted just as Aries, sign of war and “might makes right” would be expected to react, with violence. During this time, Christians were fed to lions, hung on crosses and even hung upside down and lit on fire to light the gardens of the Roman Emperors. Even though much of Christianity stemmed from Judaism, the new religion was not accepted or supported by the old and as a consequence, the long-standing division between Jews and Christians was established.
Today we are witnessing quite a different struggle, that of Pisces and Virgo against Aquarius and Leo. In 1970, our planet reached the cusp between Pisces and Aquarius and the balance of power shifted in Aquarius’ favor. The civil rights movement was born just before this during the 1960’s in America, a cry for equality from all of the people who failed to fit neatly into the black and white boxes of an age of duality such as Pisces and Virgo. Equality is one of the primary goals of Aquarius, sign of community and universal brotherhood. The rainbow is a symbol of Aquarius, as is the color purple. Aquarius is also the sign of acceptance and individuality, as well as freedom and revolution. Leo, which comes right along with Aquarius in the new age, is the sign of love and sexuality. It is also the sign of pride, pomp, theatrics, parades, and fabulous parties. I think it’s pretty obvious at this point where I’m going with this description, right?
Combine the energies of Aquarius with those of Leo and we get pride parades with scantily-clad people on gaudy floats waving rainbow flags and sporting purple triangles, who are fighting for their freedom of individual sexual expression. It has even shifted within the movement itself into a larger pool of different forms of sexual identity and expression over the years, from homosexuals to bisexuals to transexuals to queer to questioning and so forth. I predict that this trend will continue as we move further into the true Age of Aquarius, with ideas such as pansexuality and polyamory, both very Aquarian and Leonine in energy, becoming the norm; leaving the gender binary that is a product of a dual age and the old institution of marriage under God, which resonates with Pisces and Virgo, to be phased out. Unfortunately, just as they were tortured and sacrificed years ago, so the Christians seek to persecute now. They protest, yell vile insults and generally try to destroy those who most strongly represent the new age because they symbolize the demise of their most precious ideals. And that children, is why God hates Fags, because God is a Pisces and Fags are Aquarian.
So, take heart all you freaks and keep on proudly flying those flags! Ignore the thrashings of dying Pisces, gasping about the ungodliness of it all and the threats of eternal damnation. Remember that fear, suicide and sorrow are of the old age and that you are a child of the new age of freedom, equality and acceptance. Know that you are the chosen people of the new age and don’t be afraid to stand and fight! It is always most challenging to live during a time of transition but the greater the challenge, the greater the reward, so don’t give up. It will keep getting better and better, I promise.
